Family Support Center Of Barry County

Our programs and services are provided free of charge to all families in Barry County. We provide the "Baby Basics" program to educate the Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome, the "Family Resource Guide" with phone numbers of agencies and services for family assistance and the CRIB Program to referred families providing a crib set to facilitate safe sleeping environments for infants. We also provide "Family Workshop Series" parenting education and a lending library and placement of parenting materials in the public libraries. We have developed training and materials for Mandated Reporters of child abuse and neglect. Our Family Educator/Kinship Coordinator offers one-on-one mentoring and classes for families facing parenting challenges.

Our commitment is to facilitate the development of healthy children and families within Barry County while promoting and providing educational and informational materials through the distribution of resources. We inform and support our community leaders of the need to focus on the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Our mission is to eliminate and prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect through awareness, advocacy and education.
